Public Yoga

Public yoga classes in Playa Samara are held at Hotel Tico Adventure Lodge every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00-9:30 a.m.  The Yoga Shala is a beautiful outdoor open space, with roof coverage overlooking the tree tops. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early to ensure your space, pay your class fee and get settled in.

Private Yoga

Private classes can be arranged upon request in your private villa, rental home, beach front or Hotel Tico Adventure Lodge.  Private classes in the Playa Carrillo and Playa Samara area are a base rate of $70 for a maximum of three people.  Each additional student is $10/person.  

What is a Vinyasa Flow?

A Vinyasa Flow is a powerful class for mixed levels that connects your movements with your breath and has a free flowing movement.  Vinyasa means; to flow from one asana (posture) to another with the focus of breath awareness (pranayama) and connection.  The practice becomes, over time a moving meditation.  With a strong emphasis on the Eight Limbs of Yoga, you will explore pranayama techniques and learn different tools to begin integrating into your day to day life.  Exploring more than just asana, together we work to find balance and create equanimity so as to live in peace. 

If learning to surf has been on your bucket list or perhaps you're looking to refine your surfing skills, our team of highly professional Surf Instructors are your answer.  Playa Carrillo is the perfect beach for beginner and intermediate surfers.  The beach is picture perfect and you will not be over crowded by other surfers as you'd find in surrounding tourist spots.  Surf lessons are taught by our International Surf Association (ISA) Certified Surf Coaches who have be trained as lifeguards/ocean rescue.  With years of personal surf history and successful teaching experience you will be riding waves in no time.  

Beginners will always start with on-land lessons covering safety, technique and  etiquette.  Once your instructor feels you're ready they will take you out to the ocean to practice your new skills.  Intermediate surfers or those who are more experienced will learn more advanced techniques and we can take you to other breaks in the area.  

We also offer surf board, boogie board and SUP board rentals.  

Cruisin' the Playa Carrillo Bay on a SUP board is one of the best way to gain a different perspective of the gorgeous beach.  Your guide will take you around the bay and offer you lots of insightful information about the area and sea life below you.  We have often seen sea turtles, manta rays, a wide variety of fish, dolphins and whales while out exploring.   

Two of our most famous daily tours are the "Rise & Shine Paddle Tour" and also the "Sunset Paddle Tour" in Playa Carrillo.  Another great option is the "Isla Chora Paddle Tour" that takes you out to the Chora Island in Playa Samara.
